Quarterly Activities Report – Q2 2025 (April to June)
1. Overview
The second quarter of 2025 was marked by vibrant cultural celebrations, community service initiatives, and engaging member activities. The Society continued to strengthen ties within the Gujarati community in Singapore while also promoting cultural awareness among the wider public.
2. Key Highlights
April 2025

Gujarati New Year & Ram Navami Celebrations
Members gathered for a festive cultural evening featuring traditional music, garba performances, and vegetarian Gujarati cuisine. The event saw over 250 attendees, fostering cultural pride and intergenerational bonding.

Wellness Workshop – Ayurveda & Yoga
A community workshop on holistic health and wellness attracted over 80 participants. Members learned practical lifestyle practices rooted in Gujarati and Indian traditions.

Mother’s Day Social Gathering
A lighthearted celebration with games, performances, and a talent showcase by children and youth members. The event highlighted the importance of family values within the Gujarati community.

Community Service – Meals for Migrant Workers
In collaboration with a local NGO, members sponsored and distributed over 600 vegetarian meals to migrant workers. This initiative aligned with the Society’s commitment to seva (service).
June 2025

Annual Sports Day
A day of cricket, badminton, and carrom competitions encouraged fitness and camaraderie. Over 120 members participated, with family members actively supporting from the sidelines.

Youth Leadership Forum
Young members engaged in discussions on leadership, entrepreneurship, and preserving Gujarati identity in Singapore. Guest speakers from the business and professional community inspired the next generation.

International Yoga Day Celebration (21 June)
The Society organised a sunrise yoga session at East Coast Park in partnership with the Indian High Commission. The event attracted both members and the wider Singaporean community.
3. Membership & Engagement

Membership grew by 8% this quarter, with 45 new families joining.

The Society’s portal saw an increase in activity, with 30% higher event registrations made online.
