The Singapore Gujarati Society (‘SGS’) recognises its obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (‘PDPA’) which includes the collection, use and disclosure of personal data for the purpose for which an individual has given consent to. These obligations extend to all initiatives by SGS, including receipt of payment from members via payment applications.
SGS and its initiatives may collect personally identifiable information from you, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address and/or telephone numbers. There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by SGS. This information may include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. All information collected by SGS is used for the specific purpose of providing a payment application service to its members and to promote the goals of its initiatives, to maintain the quality of SGS services, and to provide general statistics regarding the use of the SGS website.
Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through SGS public message boards or any other such platforms that SGS may employ, this information may be collected and used by others.
You should review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from SGS, so that you can better understand how those websites collect, use and share your information. SGS and its initiatives are not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of SGS.
SGS collects and uses your personal information to operate SGS website.
SGS does not sell, rent or lease its membership data or personal information lists to third parties. SGS may share data with trusted partners to help SGS perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to SGS, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

If you have provided personal data to SGS, you can request access to it at any time, as well as request to know how it is being used and disclosed for the last 12 months to the extent your right is allowed by law. In order to facilitate this access, you may be charged an administrative fee. You also have the right to request correction to your personal data.
